Rawr for Kian is a non-profit organization dedicated to funding pediatric cancer research and treatment initiatives and providing meals to caregivers impacted by pediatric cancer.
Rawr for Kian fills an important gap in our community. Only 4% of federally allocated funds go towards pediatric cancer research advancements despite being the #1 disease-related cause of death in children. Because the allocations are so low, the gap is filled by individual donors.
We started this non-profit in honor of our son Kian who was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer at the age of 3 months. After a year of remission, Kian relapsed and passed away in January 2021 at 2.
We're incredibly proud of our impact. Since our launch in 2021, we raised over $100K, built a partnership with the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and provided over 100 meals to caregivers impacted by pediatric cancer.
